In a 2-0 week for the Highlanders (4-2), Roque Nido helped guide NJIT to an upset of No. 11 Purdue Fort Wayne, the Highlanders' second win over an AVCA Men's Volleyball Poll Top-15 team this season. Nido averaged 11.50aps in a pair of 3-0 sweeps for NJIT, defeating the Mastodons (Jan. 23) and Ball State (Jan. 25). As a team, the Highlanders hit an impressive .438 for the week. The sophomore setter has registered double-digit assists in all six matches thus far, including one double-double and season-best 48 assists against McKendree. Nido ranks in the top four in the EIVA, averaging 9.23aps.
