Senior guard Diandre Wilson was named to the ASUN All-Tournament Team after totaling 39 points, nine rebounds, four steals, four assists and leading NJIT in scoring in two ASUN Championship starts.
The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native scored a career-high 26 points en route to NJIT's first ASUN Championship win in program history at Florida Gulf Coast in the conference quarterfinals, 83-78.
Wilson shot 5-of-9 from the field, including 4-of-6 from the perimeter, and 12-of-13 from the free throw line. He logged 34 minutes in the win, pulling in six rebounds and three steals.
In the ASUN semifinals, Wilson scored 13 points in NJIT's loss at Lipscomb, 78-55. The senior finished shooting 5-of-9 from the field including 3-of-4 from three-point range. He added three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 34 minutes.
Wilson averaged 11.8 points per game this season, which ranked third on the team and 15th in the ASUN. The senior was also sixth in the conference and led the team in free-throw shooting percentage (.774).
