NJIT Highlander Strength and Conditioning Guidelines
  1. All training sessions must be supervised by a member of the Strength and Conditioning Staff
  2. All training sessions must be scheduled through Strength and Conditioning Staff
  3. No cellphones in either room – No headphones unless on cardio equipment
  4. No jewelry or hats
  5. Be on time for sessions – sneakers tied, ready to begin at the start time.
  6. If an issue arises and you cannot make your schedule time, you must contact the S&C Staff prior to the start of the session.
  7. Highlander gear only – if you do not have team issued gear available, no other team logos, high school, college or pro.
  8. Put equipment back as soon as you are done with it
  9. Wipe down equipment at the end of the training session
  10. Dumbbell’s go on the rack if they are not in your hands
  11. Music – During team lifts, a member of the team can choose a station During open lifts, the music played is at the discretion of the S&C Staff
  12.  Spotting – You must have a spotter to bench press or squat with a barbell

  4. We will hold ourselves accountable for everything and to everyone
  5. Consistency

What the Strength and Conditioning Staff expects:
  1. Be on time and ready to train
  2. Always bring great EFFORT, ATTITUDE, and FOCUS
  3. Be respectful to each other and to coaches
  4. Leave the room as you found it – put equipment back as soon as you are done using it
  5. No inappropriate language
  6. Consistency
