​NEWARK, NJ – Seventeen NJIT men's and women's fencing student-athletes were named to the 2026 United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) All-Academic Team, the organization recently announced.

Both Highlander programs also earned team academic recognition. The NJIT women's fencing team posted a 3.661 team GPA to receive USFCA Women's Team All-Academic honors, while the men's team recorded a 3.418 GPA to earn Men's Team All-Academic recognition.

Nine members of the men's team were named to the USFCA All-Academic Team, with four also earning Scholar of Distinction honors.

The USFCA recognizes individual student-athletes and teams based on their combined fall and spring semester GPAs (or fall and winter quarter GPAs). All-Academic Team honors are awarded to student-athletes at member institutions who achieve an in-season GPA of 3.3 or higher, while Scholar of Distinction honors recognize those who earn an in-season GPA of 3.7 or higher.
