75 Highlanders Named to 2025 America East Fall Academic Honor Roll

NEWARK, NJ – NJIT had 75 student-athletes named to the 2025 America East Fall Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced Friday.

Honor Roll recognition is awarded to student-athletes who earn a semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher during their competition season. Commissioner's Honor Roll distinction is reserved for those who achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

BOSTON – America East student-athletes set a new standard for academic achievement during the fall 2025 academic semester as 88 percent of them earned Academic Honor Roll status for achieving a GPA of at least 3.0. In total, 927 student-athletes earned a 3.0 grade-point average of better, over three quarters of the total number of student-athletes participating in America East sponsored fall sports. Overall more than half earned Commissioner's Honor Roll status for compiling a GPA of at least 3.5.

Fall 2025 Need to Know

  • Overall, 927 student-athletes (88%) had a 3.0 GPA or higher, a conference record.

  • In total 680 (65%) made the Commissioner's Honor Roll with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

  • Maine had the highest percentage of student-athletes earn Honor Roll status (95%).

  • UAlbany and Maine had the highest percentage of student-athletes earn Commissioner's Honor Roll status (78%), twelve percent higher than the next closest institution.

  • UMass Lowell had the most student-athletes earn Honor Roll (126) and Commissioner's Honor Roll (97).

  • Maine women's soccer was the lone conference champion to have 100% of its student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll. Maine cross country was the second-highest conference champion at 96%

  • Nine programs had 100% of their student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll:

    • UAlbany women's cross country and field hockey

    • Bryant men's cross country, women's soccer, and volleyball

    • Maine women's soccer

    • New Hampshire women's cross country

    • NJIT women's cross country

    • Vermont field hockey

  • America East student-athletes have averaged at least a 3.0 GPA in each of the last 20 years.

Programs with highest percentage of 3.0+ Student-Athletes by Sport

  • Men's Cross Country – Bryant (100%)

  • Women's Cross Country – UAlbany, New Hampshire, and NJIT (100%)

  • Men's Soccer – Binghamton (96%)

  • Women's Soccer – Bryant, and Maine (100%)

  • Field Hockey – UAlbany and Vermont (100%)

  • Volleyball – Bryant (100%)
