NEWARK, NJ – The NJIT men's basketball team sweeps season series against Binghamton with 73-64 win and improve to 8-2 in America East play.
Halfway through the first half the Bearcats held a one-point lead, 15-14, as both teams were looking for offensive rhythm.
The Highlanders were just 4-13 (30.8%) from the field and 1-6 from deep in the first ten minutes until sophomore
Ari Fulton knocked down a three to build momentum heading into half.
After the first twenty minutes of play, the Highlanders went into half up 32-30 but only shot 10-27 (37%) from the field.
Sophomore
Jordan Rogers recorded his second straight double-digit performance with 11 points on 5-6 shooting from the field in just the first half. Fulton followed with 10 points.
Coming out of the break the Highlanders maintained control until the final buzzer.
The Bearcats were able to get the game within two possessions with just over two minutes to go however the Highlanders shut down the Bearcats' run to secure the victory at home.
The Highlanders had four players in double-figures, continuing their high scoring offense through conference play.
Leading the way for the Highlanders was Fulton with 21 points and Rogers with 15 points on 6-7 FG and 6-9 FG respectively.

Sebastian Robinson and freshman
David Bolden both scored 14 points.

The four-game win streak is the highest win streak since the Highlanders won five straight back in January of 2019.
