Cross Country Releases 2025 Schedule

7/26/2025 11:54:00 AM

NEWARK, N.J. - NJIT cross country head coach Jason Munsch has announced the team's 2025 schedule, which features nine meets, including three home meets at Branch Brook Park.

"I am extremely excited about the team we have assembled and what is possible this season. In my opinion, the 2025 men's and women's cross country teams are the best in the history of our program," Munsch said. "We have a great mix of veteran leadership, with seniors Anthony Dvorsky and Kimmie Harding coming off of record breaking track seasons, and young international talent, like Jessie Fotheringham and Lasse Bjørn Jensen, who have both won national championships in their home countries of Australia and Denmark. Add to that the core group of returners that have recorded program records themselves, such as William Mitchell, Daniel Wilson, Fabian Herrera and Sarah Van Ornum, and grad transfer Aidan Groff from St. Joe's. We have a team ready to make a statement in the conference and region. There are many goals and firsts that we are hoping to accomplish this season including having our first cross country America East medalist in program history and recording our highest team scores at both the conference and regional championships. With this talented group, the culture that we have established, and the guidance of second year distance coach, Coach Cook, I am confident this group of men and women will accomplish those goals, and help us to take another step forward in the evolution of our program."

We're excited to announce our strongest XC schedule with our deepest roster in memory. 2025 is going to be a season to remember as we also bring cross country action to our New Jersey supporters right here in Newark twice," distance coach Mike Cook said
