NEWARK, N.J. - Three NJIT men's lacrosse players were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, including Devon Ford, Michael Rettberg, and Isaac Vanzomeren.
 
Ford, a Biomedical Engineering major, graduated with his master's degree and a 3.95 GPA. He played in all 12 games for the Highlanders, recording a career-high 14 ground balls and three caused turnovers.
 
Rettberg, a Business major, boasts a 3.935 GPA and has been named to the Dean's List four times. He appeared in all 12 games with one start. The sophomore recorded three points (2 goals, 1 assist) and picked up two ground balls.
 
Vanzomeren graduated with his MBA and a 3.917 GPA. He was named to the America East All-Academic Team twice in his career. On the field, the faceoff specialist was second in the America East and 13th in the nation with 6.44 ground balls per game. He also earned the America East Faceoff Specialist of the Week on March 3 after picking up nine ground balls and winning 15-of-25 (60%) faceoffs against Drexel on Feb. 26.
