NEWARK, N.J. - NJIT Lacrosse head coach Eric Wolf has added Corey Yunker to the Highlanders' coaching staff as an Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator.

"We're excited to welcome Corey Yunker to the NJIT Lacrosse family as our new Offensive Coordinator," Wolf said. "Corey is a dynamic coach, and an elite lacrosse mind whose energy, creativity, and passion for player development will elevate our program immediately. We're building something special at NJIT, and Corey is the perfect fit to lead our offense into the future."

Yunker joins NJIT after serving as an Assistant Coach at Canisius for two seasons. He collaborated with the head coach to run the team's offense. Yunker led offensive drills, facilitated the offensive film sessions, coordinated the man-up offense, and created defensive scouts on every opposing team. Canisius finished third in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and qualified for the MAAC Tournament in 2025.
 
Before his role at Canisius, Yunker was a Volunteer Assistant Coach at UAlbany during the 2023 season. He worked directly with the offensive coordinator and assisted with running individual and team offensive drills, cutting up game and practice film, and creating offensive game plans. UAlbany finished as a runner-up in the America East Conference Championship in 2023.
 
Yunker also served as a Club Team Coach for Harvest Lacrosse Club and Albany Stags Lacrosse.
 
Yunker played college lacrosse at UAlbany from 2018 to 2022, tallying 65 goals and 30 assists in 41 games. He was named team captain as a senior and was selected to the America East All-Conference Second Team in 2022. He ranked fourth in Division I for shot percentage in 2020 and 2021.
