NJIT Track and Field Travels to UNH for America East Outdoor Championships

DURHAM, N.H. - The NJIT track and field teams will travel to New Hampshire for the America East Outdoor Championships on Saturday and Sunday at the Reggie Atkins Track & Field Facility. Competition will begin at noon on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. The meet will be streamed live on ESPN+ and the throwing events will be shown on America East TV.
 
At the Penn Relays and TCNJ Lions Invitational, the Highlanders recorded four personal-bests and six top-five marks in program history.
 
Jason Ballen earned medalist honors in the javelin at the Penn Relays, finishing fifth with a throw of 59.24m. He posted a personal-best javelin throw of 60.74m at the Monmouth Season Opener, which ranks third in the America East.
 
Zaidah Lightener set the school record in the long jump with a college-best 6.01m at the Rutgers Relays, which ranks third in the America East.
 
Raegan Bossard ranks fourth in the America East in the triple jump with a mark of 11.78m at the Penn Relays. She posted a personal-best long jump of 5.62m at the Rutgers Relays, which ranks tenth in the conference.
 
Ryan Nartey won the triple jump at the Sam Howell Invitational with a season-best 14.34m, ranking fifth in the America East.
 
Justin Villamizar broke the school record in the discus with a personal-best 47.46m at the Monmouth Season Opener, which ranks eighth in the America East.
 
Jadyn Otto recorded a personal-best high jump of 1.55m at the Rutgers Relays, which ranks ninth in the America East.
 
Kierstin Ashby ranks tenth in the America East in the 400m with a personal-best time of 56.92 at the Sam Howell Invitational.
 
Hayley Lucido clocked a season-best 800m time of 2:15.32 at the Bucknell Bison Invite, ranking sixth in the conference.
 
Anthony Dvorsky broke the school record in the men's 10K with a personal-best time of 30:21.15 at the Bucknell Bison Invite, which ranks fourth in the America East.
 
Kimmie Harding set the program record in the women's 10K with a personal-best time of 37:06.15 at the Bucknell Bison Invite, ranking fifth in the conference.
 
Jeusten Jourdain ran a personal-best 100m hurdles time of 15.23 at the Sam Howell Invitational, ranking sixth in the America East.
 
Sanai Jenkins ranks fifth in the conference in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.28 at the TCNJ Lions Invitational.
 
Pietro Carpentari, Gabriel Truehart, Lossenie Fofana, and Robbie Tormo rank third in the America East in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:14.90 at the Penn Relays.

NJIT will compete at the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships hosted by George Mason on May 16-18.
