BOSTON – NJIT graduate student catcher Mason Wolf and right-handed pitcher MT Morrissey have earned America East weekly honors. Wolf garnered America East Player of the Week honors, while Morrissey earned America East Pitcher of the Week. The pair helped guide the Highlanders to a three-game sweep over UMass Lowell to clinch the No. 2 seed in this week's America East Baseball Championship.

Wolf continued his stellar run of play this past week, batting .636 (7-for-11) with a home run, three RBI, three runs scored and a 1.692 OPS. Wolf got the eighth inning rally started on Saturday, launching a long home run over the batter's eye in centerfield to cut the deficit down to one run. The Ocean Township, N.J. native extended his hitting streak to 16 games, and his multi-hit game streak to 12, and now owns a team-best batting average of .399 on the season.

Morrissey picks up his second Pitcher of the Week nod of the season, saving his best outing of the regular season for last. The righty tossed a complete game gem in Friday's 4-2 win over the River Hawks, striking out a career-high 11 batters while allowing just two runs. Morrissey threw 112 pitches during his outing, scattering six hits during his performance.

NJIT heads up to Orono, Maine this week to kick off the America East Baseball Championship. The second-seeded Highlanders will play their first game of the tournament on Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. with their opponent to be determined.
