VESTAL, NY--The NJIT women's tennis team extended its win streak to six after securing the 7-0 win at Binghamton Sunday afternoon.
NJIT swept the doubles points and won all six singles matches in straight sets to secure the 7-0 road victory.
Arina Babkova/Irene Cocero were 6-2 winners at first doubles while Babkova recorded a 6-2, 6-1 win at the fourth spot and Cocero registered a 6-3, 6-2 at third singles.
Doubles pair Paula Menendez Alvarez / Shalom Salvi combined for a 6-3 victory at second doubles. Menendez Alvarez followed up with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at first singles and Salvi combined for a 7-6, 6-4 win at the second spot.
Highlanders duo Feyza Aydin / Riya Mathur posted a 6-1 victory at third doubles. Aydin won in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 at fifth singles and Asmina Sazan won by identical scores 6-2, 6-2 at sixth singles.
