NEWARK, NJ - The NJIT women's tennis team won its third straight match of the season with a 4-1 victory against Hofstra Saturday afternoon at the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
NJIT's three match win streak started with a 7-0 victory over Lafayette, followed by a 5-2 win over FDU and Saturday's 4-1 win over Hofstra.

"We really enjoy playing the Hofstra team. They always are very tough competitors and work through their matches start to finish. I was very proud of the NJIT women today. They came out energetic for the doubles point and played disciplined smart singles to come out ahead today."
Highlander duo Laura Wipfli and Shalom Salvi took the victory in the first round of doubles, coming out on top 6-2.
Junior Paula Menendez Alvarez and graduate student Arina Babkova swept the second spot with a 6-0 victory..
In singles competition, Shalom Salvi, Arina Babkova, and Feyza Aydin each won in straight sets to secure the home victory for NJIT.
