HIGH POINT, NC – The NJIT men's basketball team drops to High Point, 89-72, on Friday night to conclude six-game road stretch.
The Highlanders found themselves down early in the first half with High Point's offense clicking on all cylinders going on a 21-0 run to get ahead by 19 points.
Sophomore
Ari Fulton had himself a strong first half back in his home state with nine points which included two triples to open the game.
Freshman
David Bolden led all scorers heading into break with 11 points, marking his sixth game scoring in double-digits.
Coming out of the half, the Highlanders offense found their footing using an 11-2 run to get the game back within a few possessions. The offense surge was good enough to get the Highlanders within eight but ultimately the high-powered Panthers' offense was too much for the Highlanders.
Leading the way for the Highlanders was Fulton who finished the game with 18 points and seven rebounds, both which were team highs. Following behind was Bolden with 15 points and a team-high six assists. Sophomore
Jeremy Clayville also had a strong game finishing with 12 points on 4-7 shooting from deep.
