Andreoli Scores in the 87th Minute in a 2-2 Draw at UNH

DURHAM, N.H. - The NJIT women's soccer team (5-3-5, 0-1-3 AE) earned a 2-2 draw against UNH (3-4-4, 1-1-1 AE) on Sunday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium.
 
How it Happened
New Hampshire struck first, as Abbi Maier netted her third goal of the season off the post in the third minute, assisted by Riley Mitza and Brooke Pearson.
 
NJIT answered in the 10th minute when Kirra Hyder scored her first collegiate goal, assisted by Mikayla Balio. Hyder has recorded at least one point in each of her last three games.
 
 
UNH regained the lead in the 41st minute on Elaina Grenz's first goal of the season, assisted by Amber Clarke. The Wildcats took a 2-1 lead into halftime.
 
The score remained unchanged until the 87th minute, when Briana Andreoli headed home the equalizer, assisted by Maria Nogueira. Andreoli has now scored in three consecutive matches and leads the America East in both goals (7) and points (17) this season. She now has 47 career points, which is tied with Erika Taugher for the most in program history.
 
 
Hyder led the Highlanders with two shots. Enya Carthy, Merle Hueser, Maria Nogueira, Caitlin Mahala, and Kennedy Yon played the full 90 minutes.
 
NJIT led in shots (9-7), corner kicks (10-2), and possession (51%-49%).
