BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NJIT cross country teams competed at the Paul Short Invitational for the fourth consecutive season on Friday at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.

The men raced in the Gold 8K for the first time in program history. In the merged results, NJIT finished ahead of several America East foes, including New Hampshire and Bryant, and placed one spot behind Vermont. The Highlanders also topped Lafayette, Seton Hall, Iona, Fairfield, Quinnipiac, Rider, LIU, FDU, and Wagner.

Anthony Dvorsky ran the first sub-25-minute 8K at the Paul Short Invitational in program history, posting a personal-best time of 24:58.8. His performance marked the fastest time by an NJIT runner at the meet since Hall of Fame inductee Umar Saeed (25:06) in 2009.
William Mitchell posted an 8K time of 25:16.3 and
Diego Reyes clocked a time of 25:51.0.

The women moved up 13 spots compared to 2024, finishing in 26th place. In the merged results, NJIT beat Rider, Marist, Manhattan, Temple, LIU, and FDU.

Jessie Fotheringham earned her second straight top-10 finish, running a personal-best 6K time of 21.14.1 to finish eighth.
Sarah Van Ornum posted a 6K time of 22:03.3 to finish 49th and
Kimmie Harding recorded a time of 23:02.4. Fotheringham and Van Ornum now own the highest individual finishes at the Paul Short Invitational in program history.
