Robbie Tormo, and
Pietro Carpentari set the school record in the 4x200m relay at the Mets Indoor Championships, recording a time of 1:28.51 to win a gold medal at the Ocean Breeze Complex on Friday.
NJIT recorded 15 personal-bests and eight top-five marks in program history.
Kierstin Ashby clocked in a time of 58.83 in the 400m to finish eighth, which ranks fifth in the America East Conference.
Lucia Julvez also competed in the 400m, securing a time of 58.96, ranking seventh in the America East this season.
Sanai Jenkins posted a 500m time of 1:17.24, which is the fastest time in the America East.
Pietro Carpentari finished third in the 500m with a personal-best time of 1:04.95, which ranks third in program history and in the America East.
Joseph Mucci and
Daniel Wilson secured second and third place in the 800m with personal-best times of 1:54.50 and 1:55.29, respectively.
Andrew Sabeh finished fifth in the weight throw with a personal-best 16.33m, which ranks second in program history.
NEXT UP
NJIT will have a split weekend with five meets in Boston and New York City on Feb. 7-8.
