NEW YORK, N.Y. - The NJIT track and field teams won four events at the Gotham Cup on Friday at Ocean Breeze Complex. NJIT recorded 17 personal-bests and eight top-five marks in program history.

Zaidah Lightener won both the long jump (5.58m) and triple jump (11.58m), marking the first event wins in her collegiate career.
Raegan Bossard finished second in the triple jump with a personal-best 11.56m, which ranks third in program history and fifth in the America East.

Lucia Julvez won the 500m with a personal-best time of 1:17.73, which ranks fourth in school history and second in the America East.

Hayley Lucido won the 4x400m relay for the Highlanders with a time of 3:56.42. The time ranks second in the America East and is the third-best in program history.

Nia Holloway recorded a personal-best 200m time of 25.11, ranking third in the America East and second in school history. Holloway also finished third in the 60m Invitational with a time of 7.71, which ranks fifth in the America East.

Jeusten Jourdain clocked a personal-best 200m time of 22.02, which is the fourth-best in school history and ranks fifth in the America East.

Kierstin Ashby posted a 200m time of 26.09, which is the fifth-best in program history.

Pietro Carpentari finished fourth in the 500m with a personal-best time of 1:05.41, which is the fourth-best in school history.

Fabian Herrera achieved a personal-best 1,000m time of 2:28.36, which ranks fifth in the America East and is the second-best in program history.
