2024 NJIT Women's Soccer Schedule
NEWARK, NJ–NJIT women's soccer head coach Ally Nick announced its 2024 schedule, featuring 17 regular season matches, with eight matches at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium, including the home opener on August 15 against first-time opponent Rutgers.
"This fall non-conference schedule was put together to challenge our team to compete to get results in close games with strong opponents," said Nick. "We know we will face those games in conference play. We are very lucky to have Big Ten and national contender Rutgers, open up the season at Lubetkin Field. Not only is it a great opportunity for our team but the local community as well."
Nick, entering her ninth season at the helm of the Highlanders, guided NJIT to its first record of .500 or better since 2018 (7-7-5 overall, 3-4-1 during America East regular season play), a third straight conference tournament appearance (first time since making four straight Great West tourneys from 2009-12), and the program's second-best finish in four years as an America East member (5th; finished 3rd in 2021).
The 2024 home opener is slated for August 15 at 6pm hosting first-time opponent Rutgers, who qualified for the 2023 NCAA Tournament, finishing the season 9-7-4 overall, 5-4-1 in the Big Ten.
