BOSTON - Three NJIT women's soccer players earned America East All-Conference awards, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Briana Andreoli and
Maria Nogueira were selected America East First Team All-Conference, while
Enya Carthy was named to the All-Rookie Team. Andreoli was also recognized as the America East Striker of the Year.
"I am so proud of these three players and how they've represented NJIT Women's Soccer! Bri had an incredible career, topping it off with a record breaking senior year — playing with confidence, composure, and belief in herself," head coach Ally Nick said. "Watching her growth over the years and the way she continued to grow both on and off the field makes me so proud and honored to have been along for her journey. I appreciate the respect that our conference has given Bri."
"Maria has become such an impactful and dynamic player for us — leading both on and off the field. Her presence elevated everyone around her. She continued to improve every year and a threat on both the defense and attack. We are going to miss both Maria and Bri tremendously on the field but I know that both of them have their best years of playing ahead of them and look forward to their next chapters."
"Enya's recognition is great for her and our program. For a true freshman to step into such a big role right away — that's special. She and our other returning goalkeepers are raising the bar and excited to see them all continue to grow and lead our team forward."
Andreoli had a historic season for the Highlanders, leading the America East in goals (9) and points (21). Her 21 points rank second in a single season during NJIT's Division I era, trailing only Fiona Wright's 22 points in 2018. The senior holds the program's career records with 51 points and 21 goals.
Andreoli is one of two players in the NCAA to set four school records this season, joining Maya Matesa of Duquesne. She earned the America East Offensive Player of the Week three times - the only player in the conference to receive the award multiple times this season.
This marks Andreoli's second First Team All-Conference selection (2023, 2025). The Hawthorne, New Jersey, native was also named to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team each of the last two seasons.
Nogueira earned America East All-Conference honors for the first time in her career after leading all NJIT defenders with five points (1 goal, 3 assists) this season. She scored the game-winning Olympico goal against UMass on Aug. 21.
The senior ranked second on the team with 1,594 minutes played this season and logged the full 90 minutes in 16 of 18 matches. She also helped the Highlanders record five shutouts.
Carthy's selection to the America East All-Rookie Team marks the fifth consecutive season that an NJIT player has earned the honor. She led all America East freshmen with a .796 save percentage and a 1.25 goals against average.
Carthy was named America East Rookie of the Week on Sept. 2 and posted four consecutive shutout appearances from Aug. 27 to Sept. 7. The freshman goalkeeper, recently called up to the U19 Irish National Team, also represented Ireland at the U17 level and contributed to three shutouts for NJIT this season.
