BOSTON — Juniors Joseph Mucci and Maddie Stevens have been named to the 2024 America East Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic teams, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.

The America East All-Academic honors for Mucci and Stevens are the seconds of their careers (selected to the 2024 America East Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team).

To be eligible for All-Academic, student-athletes must have sophomore athletic eligibility, attain a 3.30 minimum grade-point average and be a contributor on their team. The squad is voted on by a committee, composed of America East student-athlete support and athletic communications administrators as well as faculty athletic representatives.

Stevens, a native of Nashua, N.H., logged a 3.842 GPA as a Biology major.  The four-time Dean's List honoree was named to the 2024 America East Conference Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team.  Stevens earned a pair of medals - bronze in 400 and 4x400 relay - at 2024 America East Outdoor Championships.  An All-East performer at 2024 IC4A/ECAC Championships in the 400m, Stevens won two medals at the Metropolitan Outdoor Championships (gold in 200, silver in 4x400).

Mucci, a native of Mountain Lakes, was named the 2024 America East Men's Indoor Elite 18 winner as the male student-athlete with the highest GPA at February's conference Championships. The Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science double major maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA.
