Box Score The NJIT men's tennis team defeated visiting St. Joseph's 6-1 to stay undefeated through five matches this season. Wednesday afternoon's match took place at the Naimoli Family Teniis & Recreation Center on the Highlanders' campus in Newark, NJ.
NJIT swept its way through three doubles matches and won five of six singles matches to improve to 5-0 on the season. 
The Highlanders earned three of their singles wins in straight sets while two of the victories came in three sets. 
Junior transfer 
German Lopez Andujar earned his first victory in an NJIT uniform, winning 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 at #4 singles and pairing up with 
Nejc Skorjanc for a 6-3 victory at #1 singles.
Freshman 
Severin Risan dominated his way to a 6-2, 6-3 win at #6 singles to improve to 2-0 this season.
"We had a good day back at home," said Head Coach 
Marco Matteucci. "It was good to see our freshmen get in the lineup and German get in his first match of the season."
The Highlanders will look to improve their season-opening win streak to six on Sunday when they host FDU. First serve is slated for 3pm in Newark.
