NEWARK, NJ–Freshman Eric Sadlocha has been named America East Conference Rookie of the Week the league office announced on Monday.

In a 1-0-1 week for the Highlanders, Sadlocha tallied his first collegiate goal in NJIT's 2-1 America East win.

Sadlocha netted his first goal of his young career in the 50th minute on a header in the Highlanders 2-1 win over visiting Binghamton. Sokol Ymeraj served the ball into the box off a free kick while Raz Amir got the first touch before Sadlocha headed home his first goal.

This marks the first career weekly honor for Sadlocha.

After playing three straight at home, the Highlanders will make its first road trip in the America East and visit Vermont on Sunday, October 13 at 2pm.
