NEWARK, N.J. - The NJIT women's soccer team (3-8-1, 0-3 AE) lost 2-0 against New Hampshire (9-2-1, 4-0 AE) on Sunday at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium.
In the 18th minute, goalkeeper
Samantha Constantine made a diving save off a UNH free kick just outside the box to keep the game scoreless.
UNH's Meghan Guarente recorded a brace, scoring her first goal in the 22nd minute, assisted by Delaney Lappin. She netted her second goal in the 64th minute, assisted by Elizabeth Finn.
Emily Jozak led the Highlanders with three shots, one of which was on target. Constantine,
Merle Hueser,
Kennedy Westbrook,
Sofia Mignon,
Maria Nogueira, and
Ciara Adams played the full 90 minutes.
New Hampshire led in shots on goal (4-3), corner kicks (5-3), and possession (51%-49%).
