NEW YORK, N.Y. ---The NJIT women's soccer team's five-match unbeaten streak came to an end in a 5-0 road defeat at the hands of the Columbia Lions Wednesday evening at Rocco B. Commissio Soccer Stadium.
Despite the setback, NJIT (3-2-4) will enter America East play with a strong 3-2-4 non-conference record.
Columbia (5-1-1) broke through with a goal in the 27th minute, added a second before halftime and scored three more in the second period.
OTHER NOTES
- 21 players got to see the field against Columbia, including the season debut of redshirt senior Lily Bray. The total is one off the 22 players that saw action against Saint Peter's on August 20.
