Women's Tennis Blanks Rhode Island, 4-0

Box Score NEWPORT, R.I. — The NJIT women's tennis team started off the final weekend of the regular season with a 4-0 road sweep of the Rhode Island Rams Saturday evening at the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

The Highlanders (9-7) picked up their third straight victory, third shutout of the season, and first of the season in a play-to-clinch match. NJIT took two of three in doubles to earn that point - winning at No. 3 and securing the point with the win at No. 2 - and sweeping the finished matches at Nos. 6, 4, and 3 in straight sets.
