Owens, Johnson Shine For Track and Field On Final Day Of Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, VA — The NJIT track and field teams closed out the weekend with a number of quality performances during the final day of the William & Mary Colonial Relays at Zable Stadium.

SCHOOL RECORDS 
  • Maria Owens was able to reset the school mark in the triple jump with a fifth place leap of 11.19m / 36-8.50, moving past teammate McKinleigh Mattie's mark of 11.01m / 36-1.50 from the 2022 AE Championships.
  • Jaden Johnson joined Owens in the Triple Jump record books, besting the 2016 mark of former Highlander Joe Skwiat (13.93m / 45-1.00) with a wind-aided jump of 14.48m / 47-6.25.
