HOBOKEN, NJ--The NJIT women's fencing team recorded a 16-11 victory at Stevens Sunday afternoon inside the Cavanan Arena.

Leading the way for the Highlanders was Cassandra Sehic (saber) and Margaret Meschia (epee) who each went 3-0.

Four different Highlanders notched two wins over Stevens – Elena Fernandez Negron (foil), Paula Zugasti (epee), Gala Krsmanovic (epee) and Janine Bacchus-Joseph (saber).

The epee squad recorded an 8-1 mark while the saber squad combined for a 5-4 overall record.

NJIT will return to action on Sunday, February 12 at the FDU Invitational in Teaneck, NJ.
