WORCESTER, MASS. — The NJIT men's swimming and diving team began its time at the four-day America East Swimming and Diving Championships by securing a pair of relay medals on the first day of competition at Worcester Polytechnic Institute's Sports & Recreation Center.

The two-time conference bronze medalists picked up two third place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay (1:29.05; a new school record) and the 800 Free Relay (6:42.38).

With only the two relays on day one and no competitors in the 1 or 3 meter diving events, the Highlanders ended the day in sixth place (64 points) with three more days and many more events to go.
