NEW YORK–The NJIT men's and women's fencing teams returned back to action Saturday afternoon at the Columbia Invitational.

Both teams competed against Johns Hopkins and host Columbia.

On the men's side, Niels Roubailo led the epee squad, combining for a 4-2 mark, going 2-1 against Johns Hopkins and Columbia. Daniel Jeun finished an even 3-3, combining for a 2-1 record against Columbia.

For the NJIT women, three Highlanders finished 2-4 on the day – Stella Frias (Foil), Elena Fernandez Negron (Foil) and Dominika Pawlowska (Epee).

The NJIT men will have a quick turnaround and compete at the MACFA A vs. B hosted by Drew on Sunday, November 19 at 10am.

The NJIT women will be back in action on December 3 at the Sacred Heart Invitational.
