BROOKLYN, NY–Graduate student Dominika Pawlowska combined for a 12-3 overall record at the Shark Tank Challenge hosted by LIU inside the Steinberg Wellness Center.
The Highlanders competed against Rutgers, Stevens, Drew, Wellesley and host LIU. The lone victory on the day came against Rutgers (17-10).
Pawlowska led the Highlanders with 12 overall victories in the epee competition followed by Gala Krsmanovic who combined for a 10-5 mark. The epee squad recorded a 29-16 overall mark on the day, competing against Rutgers, Stevens, Drew, Wellesley and host LIU.
Freshman Stella Frias, hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil, made her collegiate debut in the foil competition, registering eight victories. Elena Fernandez Negron went 7-4 on the day.
NJIT will return to action on October 29 when the Highlanders compete at the Drew Invitational at 10am in Madison, NJ.
