NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT women's basketball team will look to make it two in a row when the Highlanders visit Hartford on Saturday in America East Conference women's basketball action.

Game Information
Tip-off is slated for 2pm inside Chase Arena on the campus of Hartford and for those not able to attend the game can watch televised on ESPN3 with in-game statistics available on HartfordHawks.com.

NJIT leads the all-time series vs. Hartford, 3-1, including winners of the last three meetings.

11 Wins for the Highlanders
The 11 wins for the Highlanders are tied for the second most wins in the NJIT Division I era (2016-17; 11 wins).  Competing in its second season of the America East, the Highlanders have set a new mark with six wins with six league games left while sitting in fourth position with a 6-5 mark.

The 16 wins in 2012-13 is the highest wins total in the Division I era (began 2006-07).

Looking for Seven Road Wins
NJIT recorded its sixth road win of the season, matching the most wins on the road since the 2012-13 season with a 72-58 victory at UMBC on January 12.

Last Time Out
NJIT closed out the game on 22-0 run in the fourth quarter behind three double-figure scorers led by a game-best 17 points from sophomore Lyzi Litwinko in the Highlanders 64-48 home victory over New Hampshire Wednesday evening in America East Conference action inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center.  NJIT snapped a three-game skid, moving to an even 11-11 on the season and 6-5 in the America East.  

Litwinko, who led the Highlander offense with 17 points, finished 6-for-7 from the field, grabbing eight rebounds followed by Ellyn Stoll (14 points), Kenna Squier (10 points) and Maria Fux (8 points).  Kiana Brereton came off the bench to score four points and pulled down five rebounds for NJIT.

NJIT will wrap up a two-game America East Conference road stretch at UMass Lowell on Wednesday, February 16 at 7pm.
