Men's Lacrosse Tabbed Sixth In America East Preseason Poll

NEWARK, N.J. — The NJIT men's lacrosse team will enter its second season of America East play projected to finish sixth, according to the league's Preseason Coaches Poll released Wednesday afternoon.

Vermont, the defending America East champion and No. 17 in the Preseason Inside Lacrosse poll, was the unanimous choice to finish atop the league standings in 2022.

The Highlanders picked up their first-ever win in America East action last season with a 14-10 victory over UMass Lowell on March 27, 2021.

NJIT will open its 2022 campaign on the road against No. 16 Delaware on Saturday, February 5 and begin their home slate on Saturday, February 12 against No. 14 Lehigh.
