Women's Tennis Shut Out In Road Match At Boston College

Box Score CHESTNUT HILL, MA — The NJIT women's tennis team suffered their first setback of the season, suffering a 6-0 road defeat against the Boston College Eagles Saturday afternoon at the Margot Connell Rec Center.

Sophomore Sandra Dzhambazov was the lone Highlander to push her singles flight to a third set, winning the second set of her No. 5 flight before conceding the third set tiebreaker. NJIT was without No. 2 Aya El-Sayed for the singles portion of the meet so the rest of the team competed a spot up while leaving the No. 6 flight open.

NJIT will look to bounce back on Friday, January 28 with a Noon in-state road match at Rutgers.
