Max Wilson Selected 12th Overall In NLL Draft

NEWARK, N.J. --- Fifth-year NJIT men's lacrosse midfielder Max Wilson was selected with the 12th overall pick in the 2021 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Entry Draft by the Halifax Thunderbirds.

In his four seasons with the Highlanders, the Victoria, British Columbia native has tallied 30 total points (15 G, 15 A), 22 ground balls and four caused turnovers over the course of 43 career games (28 starts). In 2021, Wilson logged three goals, five assists, seven ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers.

Wilson is now NJIT's highest selection in the NLL Draft, surpassing former Highlander Aaron Forster, who was chosen 15th overall by the Toronto Rock in 2019.

Halifax will be entering its second season in 2021 after going 8-4 in their inaugural season in 2020.
