PHILADELPHIA--The NJIT men's fencing team competed at the Temple Invitational on Sunday against Penn State, St. John's, North Carolina and host Temple.

Sophomore Cristian Candescu led the Highlanders, registering a 5-1 mark on the foil strip while Robert Hondor combined for a 4-2 record in epee competition. 

Candsecu went a perfect 3-0 against North Carolina and 2-1 against Penn State while Hondor recorded 2-1 marks against North Carolina and Penn State.

NJIT will return to action on March 14 when the Highlanders compete at the Drew Invitational
