NEWARK, N.J. --- Women's Soccer student-athlete
Molly Saylor and NJIT broadcaster Mike Ventola recently sat down for a fun conversation about Molly's summer architecture internship, joining the American East Conference, staying connected to teammates and more.
Saylor was named to the ASUN All-Freshman and ASUN All-Tournament teams in her first full season as the starting goalkeeper. She made 13 saves in NJIT's two ASUN tournament games, including the Highlanders' first-ever ASUN tourney win (Nov. 1 vs. Liberty). She earned ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honors on Aug. 26 after playing into double overtime in her first two starts against UMBC and at Maryland. Saylor started all but one of NJIT's 18 contests, ending the season as the only ASUN keeper to record over 100 saves (league-leading 101). She was also top five in ASUN in goals allowed (18; 4th), goals against average (1.02; 4th), save percentage (.849; 2nd), and shutouts (four; t-5th).
