NEWARK, NJ - The NJIT men's tennis team returns to action with a pair of matches this weekend, first traveling to Army West Point for a 10am match on Saturday, before returning to host Navy on Sunday at the Naimoli Tennis Center.
NJIT is currently 1-4 on the season, with its win coming in dramatic fashion at home on Saturday, February 15 vs. FDU. The Highlanders won 4-3 as
Aidar Aidossov battled back from three games down in the final set to edge his opponent and clinch the victory.
Army West Point enters the weekend with a 6-6 overall record, while Navy currently boasts an 11-3 mark.
"We are looking forward to a great weekend of tennis against two of our nation's service academies," said Head Coach
Ira Miller. "Army and Navy are perennial Patriot League champions, but our young players are getting better with every match. We're also excited to be adding an electronic score overlay for the livestream of all of our home matches."
Sunday's home match against Navy will be streamed and debut the aforementioned electronic score overlay.
