NEWARK, NJ - The NJIT men's tennis team dropped a match to visiting Drexel, falling 5-2 at the Naimoli Tennis Center on Saturday.
Drexel (4-4) won two of three doubles matches to take the first point of the afternoon against the Highlanders (1-4) and then won four of six singles matches to clinch the victory.
At doubles,
Josh Smith and Tin Dizarevic won 6-2 in the first position.
The Highlanders' singles wins came from
Abdullah Fouad at first singles (7-5, 6-3) and
Aidar Aidossov at fourth singles (2-6, 6-2, 6-3).
NJIT returns to action next Saturday when they play their first road match of the season at Army West Point. First serve is slated for 10am in West Point, NY.
