STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. --- This weekend, a select number of NJIT men's and women's track and field athletes took part in the Fastrack Last Chance meet at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Three Highlanders either set or tied NJIT school records with their performances at the Last Chance meet. Freshman Stuti Vyas set a new school mark in the 1000 meters, running an 11th place time of 3:09.55. 
• Brandon Kong and Calvin Gould tied for fourth in the pole vault (4.55m / 14-11.00) and tied the current school record in the event.

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS

• Sophomore Kadeem Spencer (8.83) and junior Pritinder Singh (9.04) were second and fourth overall in the 60 meter hurdles. 
• Freshman Samuel Manu was the runner up in the triple jump, posting a mark of 12.74m (41-9.75).
• Sophomore Kwaku Amponsah took fourth place in the long jump after recording a leap of 6.71m (22-0.25).
