JACKSONVILLE, FL - The NJIT women's volleyball team fell to host Jacksonville in four sets (25-15, 25-11, 24-26, 25-20) in ASUN Conference Action on Friday, October 4.
Jacksonville is now 5-10 this season and 2-1 in ASUN play, while the Highlanders dropped to 1-17 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
The Dolphins were dominant in the first two sets, but NJIT didn't go away quietly as the Highlanders were able to take the third set, before ultimately falling in four.
Four NJIT players tallied at least eight kills, with freshman
Sarah Merritt leading the way with 10, while freshman
Susan Blake, senior
Madi Busler and freshman
Adriana Goetz-Morales each recorded eight.
Another freshman,
Juliana Impaglia, handled the setting duties for the Highlanders and dished out a career-high 35 assists.
NJIT returns to the court on Saturday when it takes on North Florida at 7pm for the second of two-straight matches in Jacksonville.
