UNION, NJ—Visiting North Florida secured an 11-9 come-from-behind win at NJIT Friday afternoon in the ASUN Conference regular season finale for both teams at Jim Hynes Stadium on the campus of Kean University.
NJIT (22-23, 9-12 ASUN), which clinched its spot in the 2018 ASUN Conference Championship on Thursday with a 3-1 and 7-1 doubleheader sweep, led game three 9-0 after two innings but were held scoreless for the remainder of the contest as the Ospreys rallied back and went on to win, 11-9.
North Florida (25-26, 10-11 ASUN) was led offensively by Mac Wilson's three runs batted in after his first collegiate homerun, a three-run shot to right field, which started the Osprey rally in the top of the third.
The Ospreys, who will host the 2018 ASUN Conference Tournament at UNF Harmon Stadium, have secured the No. 4 seed in the tournament.
NJIT's seed will be determined after Saturday ASUN Conference contests are completed.
North Florida's Ethan Michaelis was credited with the win, improving to 2-3 on the season, pitching 4.2 innings, allowing six hits, two Highlander runs while striking out five batters. RHP Brad Depperman shut the door pitching three scoreless innings, letting up one Highlander hit and striking out four, notching his fifth save of the season.

John Saviano, the Highlanders sixth pitcher took the loss, pitching 0.2 innings, allowing three hits and three runs while walking two Ospreys. Relievers

North Florida scored four runs in the top of the third, after a three-run shot to right field by 1B Mac Wilson to get the Ospreys back into the game, 9-4.
The visiting Ospreys added three runs in the top of the fourth on three hits, cutting the Highlander lead to within two, 9-7.
North Florida took its first lead of the game in the top of the seventh, 11-9, behind two RBI doubles by DH Chris Matthias and CF Tanner Murphy and a sacrifice fly to left field by 3B Chris Berry.
