UMass Lowell came out with a 9-7 victory in 2015, dominating the first half leading 8-1 at halftime. But the Highlanders came back in the second half scoring six goals and holding the River Hawks to only one.

The next year was just as close, with UML winning 7-6 in OT, NJIT first ever overtime game. The Highlanders held a 6-4 lead coming out of halftime. Neither team would score in the third, but the River Hawks tied it up with two goals in the fourth. Sean
Tyrrell scored the game-winner 1:51 into the first overtime to give UMass Lowell the win.

In 2017, UML defeated the Highlanders 12-5. The River Hawks took a 7-1 lead going into halftime, and never faltered. NJIT goalie Nick Marzullo broke his record that he registered against UML in 2016 (17 saves), making 21 saves in the loss.

A LOOK AT THE HIGHLANDERS

With one final game to go in the season, the Highlanders are looking for their second win of the season.

Junior Aaron Forster leads the team in all offensive categories with 30 goals and 13 assists for 43 points. Forster needs one more assist and one more point to break his own NJIT records for assists in a season, and points in a season. Forster has a 28 game point scoring streak going on since February of 2017.

Cole Robillard ranks second on the team in points, on 20 goals and six assists for 26 points. His 20 goals ranks second all-time in goals in a season.
