JACKSONVILLE, FL – The #6 seeded NJIT women's tennis team fell 4-0 to #3 Lipscomb on Friday night in the first round of the 2018 ASUN Women's Tennis Championships.
The Highlanders finish their season with an 8-12 record, after their third appearance in as many years in the ASUN postseason tournament.
Amanda Helminsky and
Mayar Eltony were both named to the 2018 ASUN Women's Tennis Second-Team All-Conference team.
Eltony was named to the ASUN First-Team last year and All-Rookie team, and finished this season with seven wins.
Advaita Saravanan and Helminsky each posted 11 wins on the season.
Freshman Saravanan joined the team in January won ASUN Player of the Week honors two times.
Helminsky collected an 11-4 record in singles action and was 4-2 in ASUN play with wins over USC Upstate, Stetson, Kennesaw State and Lipscomb.
