PRINCETON, NJ – NJIT men's lacrosse fell to host Princeton 15-8, their best showing against the Tigers in three years, on Tuesday night at Sherrerd Field at Class of 1952 Stadium.
The Highlanders (0-7) were led by 
Aaron Forster who had three goals and two assists and extended his scoring streak to 20 games.
Ryan Darrow had a goal and an assist while 
Ryan Kaden, 
Cole Robillard and 
Colton Johnson added goals and 
Sean Duncan tallied his first goal of the season.
John Tachon had seven ground balls and tied the NJIT record for caused turnovers in a game with four.
For the Tigers (2-2) three players notched hat tricks, Michael Sowers, Austin Sims and Riley Thompson. Sowers added a game-high five assists while Sims made two and Thompson one.
Kaden scored the last goal of the first quarter at 1:22 putting the Highlanders on the board, with a 6-1 lead by the Tigers.
The second period was closer, with Princeton outscoring the Highlanders 3-2. Foster kept his streak scoring streak going in the second quarter when he wrapped around the net and beat Tiger keeper Blaisdell up high.
Princeton took a 9-3 lead into halftime, and took over the third quarter, scoring four goals to the Highlanders one.
Not giving up, the Highlanders scored three goals in the fourth quarter, for the final 15-8 score.
Nick Marzullo made 14 saves in the loss, while Tyler Blaisdell earned the win made three saves, and Jon Levine notched four saves in the last quarter.
The Highlanders continue their road stand traveling to first time opponent UMass on Saturday March 10 for a 1pm game.
