Aaron Forster extends his point scoring streak to 21 games in the Highlanders 17-3 loss to first time opponent UMass on Saturday afternoon.
The Highlander goals came from Forster and
Vincent D'Agostino.
Freshman D'Agostino notched his first and second collegiate goals in the game, both in the fourth quarter.
Defender
John Tachon recorded a team-high four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Tachon's three caused turnovers brings his to a career total of 31, making him the new all-time NJIT leader in caused turnovers ahead of teammate
Matthew Valdez (30).
Goalie
Nick Marzullo made 13 saves in the loss, and
Alexzander Hunt tallied four saves in 12 minutes relieving Marzullo in the fourth.
Buddy Carr and Jesse Leung produced 10 of the Minutemen's 17 goals, while Chris Connelly added one goal and four assists, and Jeff Trainor dished out four assists of his own.
UMass played three goalies, with Hampton Brannon earning the win on four saves, while Sean Sconone made three saves in nine minutes and Cameron Carpenter two goals in five minutes.
The Highlanders are on the road again, with a game against Saint Joseph's on Friday March 16 for a 7pm game.
