NEWARK, NJ—Stetson topped NJIT,5-2, in women's tennis ASUN Conference action on Saturday morning at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.

NJIT (8-8, 1-2 ASUN) earned the doubles point with wins at second and third doubles and registered one win in singles action at the fifth spot.  Stetson (10-6, 2-1 ASUN) won five singles contests from first through fifth spot to earn the 5-2 win.

Highlander pair Advaita Saravanan combined for a 6-2 victory at second doubles, topping Danel Ashirova and Arijana Korac.

Doubles duo Alba Rosas Garcia and Mayar Eltony were 6-1 winners at the third spot, defeating Vicky Geurinckx and Alexe Viaud.

The lone Highlander to register a victory in singles action, came at the sixth spot, as Amanda Helminsky was a straight set winners, 6-4, 6-0.

In pregame ceremonies, NJIT honored its three graduating seniors – Rosas Garcia, Ines Vujkovac and Natacha Minc.

NJIT, which concluded its home portion of its schedule, will return to action on April 5 at 5pm when the Highlanders visit FGCU.
