NEWARK, NJ—Visiting Fordham edged NJIT, 4-3, on Friday evening in non-conference women's tennis action at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
Fordham and NJIT split the singles contests but it was the Rams who earned the doubles point, sweeping the doubles contests to edge the Highlanders, 4-3.
"Tough loss for us today," head coach
Zaki Abdelrahman commented. "The players did not finish when they had the opportunity to win. We split the singles matches with Fordham and the doubles point was the difference. The team needs to be tougher on the critical moments to start winning against those strong teams. We will learn from this and carry the positives to tomorrow's match."
