ITHACA, NY—Cornell topped visiting NJIT 6-1 Sunday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at the Reis Tennis Center.
Cornell improved to 2-2 on the season while NJIT moves to 1-1 on the young season.

Zaki Abdelrahman commented. "Cornell is strong team on the national level. We played them very strong and had our chances to win five singles and all the doubles. Their experience on this high level gave Cornell the edge on the critical points. We will take the positives from this match and build for next Friday."
NJIT's newcomer
Advaita Saravanan was the lone winner at second singles, defeating Mariko Iinuma, 7-5, 3-6, 6-2.
The Highlanders will play its next five matches at home inside The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility, first hosting Fordham on February 9 at 5pm.
