NEWARK, NJ—NJIT edged visiting Seton Hall, 4-3, Friday evening in The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
NJIT, which snapped a three-game skid, moves to 2-3 on the young season while visiting Seton Hall, which has lost the last three, drops to 1-4.

Sophomore
Mayar Eltony, an ASUN All-Conference team honoree from a season ago, battled out a tough three-set tilt at the first spot, topping Luize Strike, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4.
Saravanan went the distance at second singles, posting a 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, defeating Anicka Fajnorova.
Junior
Rafaella Sampaio recorded a straight set victory at fourth singles, 6-3, 6-4, over Katie Kim.
Helminsky was a double-winner on the day, notching a three-set victory, 5-7, 7-6(4), 6-1, against Anniek Jansen at the sixth spot.
NJIT will return to action on Sunday at 1pm, hosting Binghamton.
